Raised in a Castilian family and spending countless summers in the northern Spanish province of Asturias, nicknamed the natural paradise, allowed the development of a framework that identifies me and begins to characterize my stance towards architecture. In addition to organizing the way we live indoors, it facilitates a dialogue with the environment and natural landscape. Materiality provides a tactile relationship that allows us to better interact with the world through architecture. Environmentally sensitive design is imperative in order to ensure the continuity of the bond.
Enrolled in a dual-degree program at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Architecture as well as a Master’s of Science in Infrastructure Planning. As a recent graduate, working at Sionas has allowed me to begin to develop a better understanding of the pragmatics and complexities of the profession in my quest for my license.
In addition to architecture, my passion is photography. Every summer I come back with over 2,000 photos waiting to be printed and catalogued. I am always eager to sit down with anyone just to talk about my prints.
